Three Oaks Outdoor Science School is celebrating 85 years of continued outdoor ed programming in the San Bernardino National Forest. While we have been around a long time, our program has changed names and locations over the years. It all started in 1940 as Camp O’ongo, located in Running Springs and was sold in 1991, becoming Arrowhead Ranch. The program switched ownership in 2019 with our current name,
Three Oaks Outdoor Science School.
As we celebrate and reflect on the incredible feat of 85 years serving young people from across Southern California; we also want to take a moment to thank and appreciate all the students, teachers, staff, administrators and owners before us. We respect the importance of those before us who set the high standards and expectations and got us here, but now we are excited to look forward to many more years of serving students, with some incredible new teammates who will join us on this journey.

Welcome friends, guests, kids and parents! This is the place! Three Oaks is a world-class outdoor science school, standing heads and shoulders above normal science camps for kids. Three Oaks is the place to be if you are interested in fun, outdoor activities, a peaceful setting, a gorgeous area, and places to hike and bike. We do it all, right here, at our outdoor science camp. Our program operates out of the Pinecrest Christian Conference Center. High up in the San Bernardino mountains, located in Twin Peaks, CA. Our staff is a tightly knit team of professionals ready to be of service. We want to be part of the memory that makes your child’s time at kids camp unforgettable. Mission statement
To create a lifelong impact of environmental advocacy through experiential learning and exploration in a safe and fun environment. Our program provides social skill development by breaking social barriers through teamwork and inclusivity. Students will have the opportunity to nurture their confidence and independence while developing a sense of responsibility and accountability.
